Novosibirsk governor Travnikov urged managers to transfer salaries to SVO
Andrey Travnikov, the governor of the Novosibirsk region, said that the heads of local enterprises could transfer part of their salaries to the needs of the special operation. The idea came up at a meeting on Monday.
Initially, the proposal was made by Vice Governor Sergei Semka – he asked the head of the region to support the initiative to transfer one-day earnings. The official recalled that they had already done this a year ago, and that at that time the heads of Novosibirsk enterprises themselves came up with the proposal. The funds collected last year from salaries were directed to a special fund, Semka noted.
Travnikov supported the proposal to repeat the action, suggesting that, although “everyone has different incomes,” business leaders “can afford to transfer an amount” that even exceeds one day’s earnings.
“Some managers,” Travnikov added, “I think they will be able to transfer a monthly salary.”
How writes Kommersant, in March, the governor, speaking with a report in the legislative assembly of the region, said that in 2022, 4.2 billion rubles were allocated from the reserve fund of the region for the purposes of the SVO.
