“The head of the American diplomatic mission, summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, was demarched on February 21 in connection with the expanding involvement of the United States in hostilities on the side of the Kyiv regime,” the message says.
The Russian ministry said that the note of protest handed over to the ambassador emphasizes that the pumping of weapons into Kiev and the transfer of target designations for strikes against Russian military and civilian infrastructure prove the “inconsistency and falsity” of the statements of the United States that it is not a party to the conflict.
As the Foreign Ministry explained, in this regard, the ambassador was told that the current aggressive course of the United States to deepen confrontation with Russia in all areas is counterproductive. To de-escalate the situation, as emphasized in the Russian department, the United States must withdraw “US-NATO military and equipment” and stop “hostile anti-Russian activity.”
In addition, the Foreign Ministry added, the United States should give an explanation about the Nord Stream bombing and not interfere with the investigation to identify the perpetrators.
