“They pointed out to the Frenchman the categorical unacceptability of unfounded, false accusations against our servicemen, which sound especially inappropriate on behalf of the diplomatic mission of a country that actively supplies military equipment and ammunition for the needs of the Ukrainian army,” the message says.
The mission noted that “such provocative attacks” from unfriendly countries “sound all the more unfounded” due to lack of evidence. They also recalled that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in September 2022 appealed to UN Secretary General António Guterres with a request to launch an objective investigation procedure.
“However, to this day, Western countries only continue to indiscriminately accuse Russia of what it did not commit, while refusing to see the obvious crimes of the Kyiv regime,” the ministry concluded.
The Foreign Ministry repeatedly summoned French diplomats. In particular, on October 6 last year, French Ambassador to Russia Pierre Levy was voiced in the ministry, the position of the Russian authorities regarding the supply of weapons to Kyiv, and also noted the threats arising from this.
