Russian Foreign Ministry: responsibility for the terrorist attack against Prilepin lies with Ukraine and the United States
Responsibility for the May 6 attack on writer Zakhar Prilepin in the Nizhny Novgorod region lies not only with Ukraine, but also with the United States. This is how the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Russia commented on today’s incident. The corresponding statement with a commentary was published on the official website of the department.
“Responsibility for this and other terrorist acts lies not only with the Ukrainian authorities, but with their Western patrons, primarily the United States,” the report says.
The Foreign Ministry assures that it was Washington, after the events on the Maidan in 2014, that nurtured the “anti-Russian project” in Ukraine.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the absence of any statements or convictions on the fact of the attempt on the Russian writer by the United States is “self-revealing” for Washington. The department believes that the silence of international organizations in connection with such events is unacceptable.
