The Russian Foreign Ministry does not exclude the transfer of sabotage groups from Ukraine to Belarus

Russia does not rule out the possibility of transferring sabotage groups from Ukraine to Belarus. About this in an interview with RTVI declared Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.

“In recent months, the rhetoric of representatives of the “Belarusian nationalist formations” fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine has become significantly tougher. [Вооруженных сил Украины] in the Donbass and actively supported by the Kyiv authorities and their Western curators. The leaders and commanders of these cutthroat mercenaries openly say that in the future they plan to use their combat experience to forcefully overthrow the current Belarusian leadership. In this regard, the possible transfer of such sabotage groups to the republic cannot be ruled out,” he said.

Against this background, Galuzin continued, the Belarusian law enforcement agencies and special services, with the support of the Regional Group of Forces of Russia and Belarus (RGV), should take into account such risks and, if necessary, “repel both “pinpoint” provocations and a full-scale invasion of the enemy” on the territory of the republic.

“At the same time, the deployment of the Regional Grouping of Forces on the territory of Belarus in itself is a powerful deterrent for Ukrainian units forced to maintain significant reserves in this direction instead of transferring them to the South-East. Thus, even without directly participating in hostilities, deployed in the republic, additional military contingents have a serious impact on the course of the NMD, contribute to the achievement of its tasks and goals,” the diplomat added.

March 7 President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko informedthat the Belarusian security forces detained a terrorist and his accomplices who were planning a sabotage against a Russian A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft at the Machulishchi airfield near Minsk. Then he said that the detainee was a citizen of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, in 2014 he was recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). Six or eight months ago, Lukashenka claimed, the SBU and the CIA launched an operation “against the Republic of Belarus”, and a well-trained terrorist was sent to the republic.

Later it became known that the saboteur Nikolai Shvets, detained in Belarus, acknowledged work for the SBU. The KGB of Belarus, in turn, stated that the involvement in the organization of the terrorist attack of the operational staff and the leadership of the SBU was established. In the preparation of the attack were involved, among other things, “fugitive Belarusians” who advocate the overthrow of power.

By opinion Lukashenko, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky could not have been unaware of the preparation of sabotage at the Machulishchi airfield near Minsk, since such operations are not carried out without the consent of the country’s leadership.
