Zakharova: Kyiv failed the elections on April Fool’s Day, so Simonyan was put on the wanted list
The office of the President of Ukraine decided to celebrate April Fool’s Day with “idiotic news”, so on this day the SBU put the editor-in-chief of RT and MIA Rossiya Segodnya, Margarita Simonyan, on the wanted list. Thus, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova commented this news.
“Since the Kiev regime could not combine April 1 with the presidential elections in Ukraine, Bankova decided to mark an important date on the calendar with idiotic news – they shouldn’t waste April Fool’s Day,” the Russian diplomat wrote in her Telegram channel.
According to her, “The Zelensky Year was preparing for this holiday.”
The day before, the SBU reported that a criminal case had been opened against Margarita Simonyan. She is suspected of “public calls for the murder of Ukrainians,” as well as “agitation for the continuation of missile and bomb attacks on civilian infrastructure.”
