A significant part of this assistance goes to the least developed states, the diplomat stressed. During the coronavirus pandemic, Russia, Vershinin added, was transferring technology to vulnerable countries to produce a vaccine locally.
Since 2013, Russia has written off $380 million of debt to the least developed countries, he said.
