Ambassador at Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Gennady Askaldovich said that during the elections in Russia last week, more than one and a half thousand cyber attacks were organized against the Central Election Commission.
According to Askaldovich, “there were plans on the part of Western countries and their satellites” to “disrupt the election campaign.” He stated that in the period from September 8 to 10, “the portal of the Russian Central Election Commission survived 175 thousand cyber attacks.”
