Russia supplied 76 billion cubic meters of gas to “friendly countries” in 2023. This was stated in the presentation of First Deputy Minister of Energy Pavel Sorokin for his speech as part of Energy Day at the Russia exhibition and forum, reports “RIA News”.

In 2023, 23 billion cubic meters were sent to China via the Power of Siberia. In 2020, exports to “friendly countries” amounted to 61 billion cubic meters, in 2010 – 47 billion.

In the Russian Federation in 2023, 32 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) were produced, in 2020 – 30 million, in 2010 – 10 million. According to Rosstat, in 2022, LNG production in the Russian Federation amounted to 32.5 million tons , which is 8.1% more than in 2021.

As follows from the presentation, gas supplies to Russian consumers last year amounted to 501 billion cubic meters. In 2022, as Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak reported, 484 billion cubic meters of gas were supplied to the domestic market. Investments in gasification in 2023 amounted to 87 billion rubles. (in 2020 – 39 billion rubles, in 2010 – 26 billion rubles).
