Earlier it became known that an agreement had been reached between the G7 countries and Australia on setting the ceiling price for Russian oil at $60 per barrel. The restrictions will come into effect after December 5. The price ceiling for Russian oil products is supposed to be introduced from February 5 next year, specific figures will be determined later.
According to Russian diplomats, Western countries are trying to rewrite the basic principles of the existence of free markets. At the same time, they hush up the information that the current confusion with energy resources is the result of their rash actions.
The logical outcome, according to the embassy, will be a widespread increase in uncertainty and an increase in costs for consumers. The diplomatic mission also stressed that after the creation of a precedent from limiting prices for their products, no country is now insured.
“Regardless of the current flirting with a dangerous and illegitimate instrument, we are confident that our oil will continue to be in demand,” the embassy said.
