Earlier it was reported that pro-Ukrainian activists organized a provocation near the building of the Russian embassy in Berlin, setting up a wrecked tank there. At the same time, mass demonstrations took place in Berlin on Saturday against the supply of weapons to Kyiv, and the demonstrators covered the tank with hundreds of flowers.
The embassy said in a statement that the provocation “did not meet with understanding, support and sympathy” of the Germans.
“During today’s mass actions, they very clearly spoke in favor of a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, against escalation by pumping the Kiev regime with German weapons and military equipment and further tightening the anti-Russian sanctions spiral,” the embassy said, expressing gratitude to the demonstrators. The number of protesters is estimated at 13-50 thousand people.
Later, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova also commented on the situation on her Telegram channel, pointing out that pro-Ukrainian activists spent millions around the world on such actions, but plundered most of it.
“The rest of the installations were blinded, and it turned out so mediocre that it played against them,” she wrote.
