“News” reported that the Russian embassy in Helsinki said that against the backdrop of the country’s accession to NATO, bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and Finland are almost completely destroyed.
According to representatives of the diplomatic department, last year trade and economic relations between Russia and Finland were already reduced to a minimum.
This happened due to the fact that the Finnish authorities made it as difficult as possible to do business with the Russian Federation. In particular, they joined the sanctions against the Russian Federation, which were introduced by the EU.
“The basis of close and mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation between the Russian Federation and Finland by the time Helsinki joined NATO had already been almost completely destroyed thanks to the efforts of the Finnish side,” the diplomatic department added.
