The Russian Defense Ministry announced the capture of more advantageous lines in the Donetsk direction

As a result of offensive actions in the Donetsk direction, Russian troops took more advantageous positions, reported The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in its daily summary.

“In the Donetsk direction, during the offensive operations, units of the “Southern” group of troops took up more advantageous lines and positions. During the day, up to 40 Ukrainian servicemen, the MSTA-B howitzer, as well as the US-made AN / TPQ-37 counter-battery radar were destroyed in this direction, ”they said.

In other directions, the Russian Armed Forces continued to strike with aircraft and artillery. So, in the Kupyansk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 40 servicemen in the areas of several settlements in the LPR and the Kharkov region. In the Krasnolimansky direction, up to 60 soldiers were destroyed, as well as American-made D-20 and M-777 howitzers.

In the Zaporozhye direction, as a result of strikes by the Russian Armed Forces, the Ukrainian side lost an M-777 howitzer, two D-20 howitzers, and a D-30 howitzer. A self-propelled howitzer “Acacia” and two self-propelled artillery mounts “Gvozdika” were destroyed in the Kherson direction. In addition, the HIMARS MLRS system was destroyed near Antonovka, and the Norwegian NASAMS air defense system was destroyed near Krasnoarmeysk in the DPR.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
