The Russian army inflicted new “retaliation strikes” on objects in the region of Odessa and Ilyichevsk, follows from the daily report of the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is specified that the strikes were inflicted on the production workshops and storage places for unmanned boats in the Odessa region. The Armed Forces (AF) of Russia also destroyed a fuel infrastructure facility, as well as ammunition depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Nikolaev area.

The Russian Air Defense Forces also intercepted seven HIMARS missiles and 32 drones, according to the Defense Ministry. The aircraft also hit the command post of the 63rd Ukrainian mechanized brigade and the communication center of the 110th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian army repulsed two attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasnoliman direction. According to the agency, the loss of Ukraine in this area per day amounted to 60 servicemen. In addition, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) was liquidated there. Also, the activities of the DRG were stopped in the Kharkiv region, near the village of Ivanovka. Two DRGs were destroyed in the Zaporozhye region.

On the night of July 17, Ukrainian surface drones attacked the Crimean bridge. As a result of the incident, a married couple died, their minor daughter was injured. Russian President Vladimir Putin later promised to respond to the attack.

The next day, July 18, the Ministry of Defense reported on a “retaliation strike” against facilities where preparations were made for terrorist attacks on Russian territory with the help of unmanned boats, as well as at the places where they were manufactured in the Odessa region.
