The air defense forces of the Russian Armed Forces shot down two Ukrainian drones that were trying to strike the territory of Crimea, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported.
“On September 17, at about 20.30 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an aircraft-type UAV on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped,” – it says in the message.
A little later, the defense department announced the interception of another Ukrainian drone in the sky over the Belgorod region. He was shot down by air defense forces on duty. The incident occurred at 20.40 Moscow time.
The neutralization of the enemy aircraft-type UAV was confirmed by the Governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
“In the Belgorod region, our air defense system worked and an aircraft-type UAV was shot down. Operational services are clarifying information about the consequences on the ground. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties or destruction,” wrote he is on his Telegram channel.
