The Russian Armed Forces repelled 17 attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction in a day

The Armed Forces (AF) of Russia over the past day during the fighting repelled 17 attacks of the Ukrainian army in different areas of the Donetsk direction, informs press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“In the Donetsk direction, as a result of the well-coordinated and courageous actions of the units of the “Southern” group of forces, seventeen enemy attacks were successfully repelled in the areas of the settlements of Severnoye, Kurdyumovka, Novomikhailovka, Marinka, Kleshcheevka, Maloiliinovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Belogorovka of the Luhansk People’s Republic,” reads the daily summary of the course of the special operation.

As clarified in the defense department, the loss of the enemy in this direction amounted to 315 military personnel and several pieces of equipment.

The losses of Ukraine in the Krasnolimansky direction amounted to 70 servicemen, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the South-Donetsk and Zaporozhye deposits of the Ministry of Defense estimated at up to 210 soldiers. Several units of enemy military equipment were also destroyed.

According to the report, Ukraine lost up to 20 soldiers in the Kupyan direction, and up to 30 in the Kherson direction, as well as military equipment.

The military operation of Russia in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories, after holding referenda, became part of Russia.
