The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed a Ukrainian MiG-29 during an attack on an airfield

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed a MiG-29 of the Ukrainian Air Force, which was located at an airfield in the Nikolaev region, reported The Russian Ministry of Defense in its daily report.

“The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed a MiG-29 fighter of the Ukrainian Air Force at the Kulbakino airfield in the Nikolaev region,” the message says.

The Ministry of Defense also said that 57 Ukrainian drones, five HIMARS missiles and a HARM anti-radar missile were shot down over the past 24 hours.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, as follows from the report of the Russian Ministry of Defense, continued offensive actions in a number of directions. Thus, in the Donetsk direction, Russian troops repelled four attacks by the Ukrainian side, as a result of which the enemy lost over 300 people and five tanks. Two attacks were repelled on Zaporozhye, and three on Krasnolimansky. Russian forces, in turn, inflicted fire damage on enemy units in the Kupyansky, Yuzhnodonetsk and Kherson directions.

Earlier today, the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin reported on improving the positions of the RF Armed Forces in the Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions.

In its report dated September 25, the Ministry of Defense reported that it had repelled 11 attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Krasnoliman directions. In addition, in the DPR and the Kherson region, the Russian military hit ammunition depots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Russian Armed Forces also carried out a group attack on points of temporary deployment of foreign mercenaries and training of sabotage groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been conducting active offensive operations since the beginning of June. Russian President Vladimir Putin called their offensive “not a slippage, but a failure.” During the plenary session of the EEF, he said that Ukraine has no results, while the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the counter-offensive have already amounted to 71,500 people.

On September 26, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu called the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine serious. Since the beginning of September, according to him, they have amounted to over 17,000 fighters and 2,700 units of weapons and equipment.
