The annual congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) was postponed to April 25. The announcement of the event appeared on the website RSPP. It was supposed to take place on April 17 at the Moscow International House of Music (“MMDM”). This is the third change in the date of the convention.

Initially, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs planned to hold a plenary meeting of the congress on February 15, 2024 after the end of the Russian Business Week forums. The event was later moved to mid-April after the announcement of the President’s message to the Federal Assembly (February 29) and the Russian presidential elections (ended on March 17).

The head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Alexander Shokhin, stated that postponing the date of the congress would allow for a more substantive discussion of issues important to business, in particular fiscal ones.

At the end of March Alexander Shokhin Meets with Vladimir Putin to discuss the issue of modernizing the tax system, which the head of state spoke about in his address to the Federal Assembly. The head of the RSPP noted that differentiation of personal income tax is ripe in the country, but it needs to be linked with investment deductions for citizens.

April 5 RSPP offered allow joint stock companies to buy back shares from shareholders who have not exercised their corporate rights for a long time.

In 2023, the annual congress of the RUIE was held on March 16.
