The publication “Federal News Agency” (“RIA FAN”), which is part of the media holding of the founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin, stops working, reported editor-in-chief Kristina Masenkova TASS.
The completion of the work was reported by Nevskiye Novosti and Ekonomika Segodnya. Like RIA FAN, these publications are part of Prigozhin’s Patriot media group.
Formerly Roskomnadzor introduced publications to your registry of blocked sites. It also includes Politika Segodnya and Narodnye Novosti, which are part of the Patriot media group. The reasons for blocking by the department were not indicated. On June 30, the Mash Telegram channel, citing a source in Patriot, reported that Prigozhin had disbanded the group, and the media projects included in it would stop working.
On June 24, the PMC “Wagner” attempted an armed rebellion, during which the founder of the PMC Prigozhin announced a campaign against Moscow, and also blocked Rostov-on-Don and took control of the city’s military facilities. In the evening, the Kremlin reported on the agreements reached to de-escalate the situation: the PMC would return to the field camps, the criminal case against Prigozhin would be dropped, and he would move to Belarus. On June 27, the FSB announced the termination of the criminal case.
