Brazilian Embraer will not take part in the investigation into the crash of its business jet, which killed Evgeny Prigozhin, Dmitry Utkin and eight other passengers, due to the risk of violating the sanctions regime. This became known to the Mash Telegram channel.

At the same time, Brazil did not officially introduce sanctions restrictions against the Russian Federation. According to the president of the trade union federation of workers of the aviation industry of the country, Edmilson Oliveira, an ex-employee of Embraer, the country’s authorities are critical of the position of the aircraft manufacturing company. The aircraft manufacturer was accused of taking an advantageous silent position.
It was previously assumed that Embraer would not investigate the plane crash due to non-permission by the Russian Federation.
In March 2022, under pressure from Western countries, Embraer joined the sanctions against Russia and completed work on the Russian market.
