The ex-president of Ukraine, the head of the Eurosolidarity party, Petro Poroshenko, was not allowed to go abroad due to the fact that the Rada canceled the business trip assigned to him, said Andriy Demchenko, speaker of the State Border Service.

He recalled that during martial law, Ukrainian deputies can cross the border only if they have decisions on official business trips.

“In relation to the people’s deputy about whom you are interested, the border guards have confirmation that his business trip abroad has been cancelled. That is why he was not allowed through the state border of Ukraine,” Strana quotes Demchenko as saying.

Poroshenko previously said that he planned to visit Poland, the United States and hold “dozens” of meetings. The ex-president suggested that the decision not to release him was not the “own initiative” of the border guards and hinted that the office of the current head of state, Vladimir Zelensky, could be behind this.
