Deputies from the party “New People” Deputy Chairman of the Committee on State Building and Legislation Sardana Avksentieva and First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Education Maxim Gulin made to the State Duma a bill that will allow considering the service as security guards of schools and kindergartens as an alternative during mobilization.
The authors of the initiative believe that such a replacement can be offered to those who, for “objective reasons”, cannot go to the front, but are fit for health. We are talking about the only children of elderly parents, fathers of many children, husbands of pregnant women and many other categories.
An alternative to military service can also be work as a nurse, junior medical staff or employment in the construction and housing and communal services.
Sardana Avksentieva called alternative service a virtually non-working tool. If the bill is passed, additional workers will appear.
“The country’s economy today needs it,” the deputy noted.
