The purpose of the terrorist act being prepared in Transnistria was to discredit Russia and the peacekeeping contingent. This was stated by the prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Anatoly Guretsky.
Earlier, the special services of the republic reported that the terrorist attack was being prepared by a terrorist network formed by immigrants from Ukraine and including persons who entered the PMR under the guise of refugees.
PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about the connections of the detained terrorists with the Security Service of Ukraine. He called on the UN Security Council to look into the situation.
