Following the visit of its delegation to Moscow, Hamas promises to further consider the issue of releasing hostages with Russian citizenship. Commenting on the results of the negotiations, representatives of the group said that they discussed the future of the Middle East, different from the one “drawn by the United States.” The Kremlin said that there were no contacts through the president – consultations are taking place at the level of the Foreign Ministry. Kommersant FM political commentator Dmitry Drize believes that a peaceful scenario in the region is completely excluded today.

The Hamas delegation’s visit to Moscow, apparently, ended without any major breakthroughs. In particular, a representative of the organization said that he sympathizes with the requests of Russian friends to release the hostages, but not everything is in their power. This question is complex. You understand, top management cannot always cope with what happens in the grassroots cells. In addition, Israelis were captured primarily, and many of them had dual citizenship. But in the end, the visitors promised to look at the problem more carefully.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that he had nothing to add, contacts go through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – that’s where you go. In general, it may seem that the structures that hold hostages, including Russian citizens, are called nothing less than terrorists and it is somehow strange to negotiate with them at the official level. And, strictly speaking, there is no noticeable progress in the peace process. Yes, and in principle there is no such thing – the process is only military.

Therefore, it is time to talk about its intensification and nothing else. Although numerous media sources constantly report about behind-the-scenes consultations that are about to bring results. Let’s hope. Although the actions of Hamas strongly resemble ordinary blackmail: demands change periodically, responsibility is shifted. Like, it’s not us, we have nothing to do with it, and so on and so forth.

Now, as for global threats, the United States endured and endured, but finally struck at pro-Iranian groups in Syria and Iraq, which have been actively shelling American bases in recent days. Iran, for its part, has launched large military exercises to show its enemies the full power of its armed forces. Israel also periodically bombs Damascus and Aleppo airports, rendering the runways inoperable.

As is known, there is a Russian military contingent in Syria, which theoretically risks being drawn into the events taking place to one degree or another. The conflict between Israel and the UN continues – this already looks like an open confrontation with personalities. The European Union has called for a humanitarian pause in Gaza but still recognizes Israel’s right to self-defense.

It is not difficult to conclude that the main task now is to prevent the conflict from escalating and escalating into a world war. Everyone understands this, however, as the eternal wisdom says, desires do not always coincide with possibilities. Sometimes events develop regardless of the aspirations of the participants.

There are many different communities in the world that have nothing to lose. And the desire to annoy someone who lives better sometimes turns out to be even stronger than the instinct of self-preservation.

But there is also good news. If a universal catastrophe can be avoided, the chances are high that a global reset will occur in the world, humanity will become wiser and create a new world order. And we will live happily ever after. Even if not now, but in the distant future.
