The head of the Estonian government, Kaja Kallas, said that she will continue to “strongly support Ukraine and advocate for strengthening European defense,” despite being put on the wanted list by Russian authorities.

According to the politician, she considers the corresponding decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation fictitious, especially since “the KGB once already issued an arrest warrant” for one of her family members.

Kallas assured that this “intimidation will not affect” Estonian politics, and she herself will not remain silent.

Earlier, Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov explained that the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs is putting officials from Estonia and Lithuania on the wanted list due to the fact that they are taking hostile actions in relation to Russia and historical memory.

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, warned that the announcement of the wanted list of Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas is “just the beginning”since everyone who encroaches on this will have to answer for crimes against the memory of the Soviet liberators of the world from Nazism and fascism.
