“Two unmanned aerial vehicles were aimed at the Kremlin. As a result of timely actions taken by the military and special services with the use of radar warfare systems, the vehicles were put out of action,” the presidential administration said in a statement.

The Kremlin called the actions of Kyiv “a planned terrorist act, an attempt on the life of the President of Russia.” The press service also stressed that Moscow reserves the right to take retaliatory measures “where and when it sees fit.”
The Kremlin press service noted that the drones were put out of action due to timely actions using radar warfare systems. The drones fell and crashed, as a result no one was injured, there was no material damage.
Peskov also noted that the drone attack would not affect the holding of the May 9 Victory Parade in any way.
Footage of the attack on the Kremlin appeared on Telegram channels at night. In the Telegram channel “Neighbours. Yakimanka-Zamoskvorechye” around 02:30 Moscow time published reports of heavy thunder-like bangs and smoke in the center of Moscow. After that, eyewitnesses saw people with flashlights near the Kremlin wall. At night, the illumination of the Kremlin was turned off.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on his Telegram channel that a ban on the launch of drones will be introduced in the city from May 3, with the exception of those used by state authorities.
