The presidential administration expressed concern over the course of elections in Khakassia

The presidential administration (AP) drew attention to the “dirt” and “slanderous information” in the media field before the elections in Khakassia. “I am very concerned about what is happening here with the elections,” leads “Pulse of Khakassia” words of Alexander Kharichev, Head of the President’s Department for Supporting the Activities of the State Council.

Kharichev visited the republic and, according to the publication, held several meetings with candidates participating in the election of the head of Khakassia (the publication does not name the names of the candidates). The official of the Presidential Administration noted that in general, campaigns are being carried out correctly in the country: in 21 regions, heads are elected, in 16 – regional parliaments. “I would say no one is crossing the line, at least not yet,” he said.

Referring to the elections in Khakassia, Kharichev said that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the executive authorities “boycotted” and “paralyzed” the work of the election commission here. The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia had to intervene in the situation. “I have not seen this in any region of the country, at least in this century,” said Kharichev. The executive power in the region is headed by the governor – the first secretary of the CPRF republican committee, Valentin Konovalov, who is running for a second term.

The CEC of Russia canceled several decisions of local authorities. In particular, on July 27, the federal commission satisfied the complaint of Vladimir Grudinin (the namesake of the Communist Party candidate in the 2018 presidential election), nominated by the regional branch of the Communists of Russia, and reinstated him in the gubernatorial elections. The Khakass cell of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation insisted on his removal from the elections: party members pointed out that Grudinin still (according to their version) had not handed in his party card, which means that he could not run for another structure.

In addition, Kharichev cited as an example the situation with one of the candidates for the post of head of the republic, who immediately, as soon as he returned from the front, “faced a massive slanderous attack on the Internet”: “It seems to me that those people who organized the mass attack, other side of good and evil. This is probably about the State Duma deputy from United Russia Sergei Sokol, who also leads the regional branch of the party and is considered the main opponent of Konovalov.
