Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics hid in one of Kyiv’s bomb shelters during the attack on the city. He admitted this on his page on social networks. As confirmation, the head of state posted a photograph with the caption “November 25, 05:10 am, Kyiv.”

The Latvian leader arrived in the capital of Ukraine on an unannounced visit on Saturday. Vladimir Zelensky posted a video of the meeting and joint briefing with his colleague from Riga on his social networks.

He said that he discussed with Rinkevichs the course of hostilities, the capabilities and defensive needs of Ukraine. In particular, he asked for possible assistance in Latvia in strengthening Ukrainian air defense, as well as for assistance with armored vehicles designed to evacuate the wounded.

The President of Latvia found himself in Kyiv during one of the most massive air attacks in recent times. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the participation of 75 drones.
