Brazilian President Lula da Silva called the Russian-Ukrainian conflict a “family quarrel”.
He made the corresponding statement during his visit to China.
He also called on other countries to act as mediators for negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, and noted that Brazil and China are already ready to do this.
In his opinion, the main criterion for mediation is the unwillingness of the state to support the conflict. At the same time, according to him, first of all, it is necessary to convince the countries that supply weapons to the conflict zone to stop doing so.
Earlier, Lula da Silva suggested that Ukraine agree to the current status of Crimea in order to end hostilities. The head of the Brazilian state also expressed hope for the creation of a group of countries that could help resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
