Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturian violated the established rules of farewell to Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain at the Palace of Westminster.
According to The Sun newspaper, Khachaturian came to say goodbye to the monarch and asked his assistant to take a picture of him on the phone at the coffin of Elizabeth II. This turned out to be the first case of such a violation during the farewell ceremony for the queen.
Recall that the coffin with the body of Elizabeth II has been exhibited in the Westminster Hall of the Palace of Westminster since September 14. The symbols of royal power were brought there from the Tower – the orb and scepter of Edward VII, as well as the crown of the British Empire. There are guards at the coffin around the clock. Those wishing to say goodbye to the queen are forced to stand in long queues to enter the hall.
