In the territories of seaports Vyborg, Vysotsk, Primorsk And Ust-Luga A high alert regime has been introduced in the Leningrad region, as follows from the orders of port captains on the website of the Baltic Sea Ports Administration, dated February 2. The reason for introducing the regime is the “increased level of man-made emergency situations caused by attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

The documents also indicate that in the territories of the four ports, partial blackout of the administrative buildings of the captain’s service must be ensured. The duty shifts of the State Port Control Inspectorate have been instructed to involve in measures to prevent emergency situations.

On January 18, the Russian Ministry of Defense for the first time reported about the destruction of a drone over the Leningrad region. January 21 authorities of the Leningrad region introduced high alert mode at critical infrastructure facilities in all areas. Security units and law enforcement agencies were ordered to destroy drones when they were detected in adjacent territories.
