The popularity rating of the Japanese government has dropped to a minimum of 29.1%, RIA Novosti reports, citing a survey published by the Japanese television company TBS.
It is noted that compared to the previous survey, the rating fell by 10.5%. The cabinet’s popularity has never been so low either during the tenure of Prime Minister Fumio Kishida or during the entire 11 years of rule of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan.
Previously, the lowest government approval ratings were recorded in August 2020 (35.4%) and December 2008 (23.9%).
