Pope Francis called for a diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian conflict

Pope Francis once again called for a search for a diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian conflict, since, according to him, there are no prospects for peace. He made this statement after the traditional Sunday sermon in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican.

“So many victims, wounded, destruction, tears in a period that is becoming incredibly long and in which there is no end in sight,” the pontiff said.

In addition, he added that the Ukrainian conflict is not only destroying that European region, but also causing a “worldwide wave of fear and hatred.”

The Pope also added that he continues to pray for a quick solution to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
