Polish President Duda admitted that Ukraine is unlikely to be able to return Crimea
Polish President Andrzej Duda, a supporter of the Kyiv regime, made an unexpected statement. He doubted that Ukraine would be able to return Crimea to its control.
“I don’t know whether Ukraine will return Crimea,” Duda said in an interview for the Kanal Zero program.
The politician also recognized the special significance of the peninsula from a historical point of view. He stated that Crimea had been in Russian hands for a long time.
Both in Ukraine and Poland, Duda’s statement was met with criticism. Thus, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who represents the coalition opposing the president’s party, said that Poland recognizes the independence of Ukraine within its internationally established borders.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba explained why the Ukrainian Armed Forces were unable to destroy the Crimean Bridge during two years of conflict.
