Polish Minister of Agriculture and Food Robert Telus tried to justify that a ban on the import of Ukrainian grain into the country could “benefit” Kyiv.
Telus said that in June 2023, when the ban on grain imports was in effect, 260 thousand tons of grain transited through Poland, while in February and March this figure was 114 and 120 thousand tons, respectively.
Thus, “transit is higher during import restrictions,” the minister said.
