A plane of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations with the first group of 70 people evacuated from the Gaza Strip, landed at Moscow’s Domodedovo on November 13. The Russian Ministry of Health reported that the condition of the evacuated Russians is assessed as satisfactory. Among them are a woman in late pregnancy and 27 children, the youngest of whom is three months old.
Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexey Serko said that the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations plans to deliver all Russians to the country from the Gaza Strip within a week. At that time, there were two more planes in Cairo.
The death toll from Israeli strikes on the enclave has exceeded 11,000. The bombing began on October 7 after an attack by Hamas militants on southern Israel. During the attack, about 1,200 people were killed (initially more than 1,400 were reported dead), and more than 200 were taken hostage by the militants.
