This result was achieved by expanding production capacity and switching to a round-the-clock, three-shift mode of assembly of components. In particular, according to Mr. Abdrakhmanov, the State Defense Order for the production of Caliber has already been completed by 17%.

At the Machine-Building Plant named after M.I. Kalinin Sergei Shoigu inspected the production of launchers and launch-loading installations for the S-300V and Buk military air defense complexes and systems. According to the general director of the plant, Nikolai Klein, the company delivered its products ahead of schedule as part of the 2023 state defense order and immediately began implementing the 2024 plan. He noted that the company “works day and night.”

“In this regard, production volumes have been significantly increased. As for the missiles we need along the air defense line, our increase has more than doubled. I hope that this year the program will be fully implemented,” said Sergei Shoigu at the final meeting with representatives of military command and control bodies. The minister emphasized that it is also necessary to resolve the issue of setting up the production of launchers and engines.

He visited the experimental testing base of the 12th Central Research Institute (CNII), which has complexes for researching military equipment for resistance to the damaging factors of a nuclear explosion.
