Philippine Ambassador to Moscow Igor Bailen called it unlikely that his country would join the anti-Russian sanctions.
“I do not think that the Philippines will join the EU sanctions against Russia or support them in any other way,” the diplomat said in a commentary to RIA Novosti.
Earlier, Philippine national security adviser Clarita Carlos said that her country takes a neutral position both on the issue of sanctions and on assessments of the conflict in Ukraine.
