Comprehensive counter-terrorism training took place in the military garrisons of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) stationed in Primorye and Kamchatka, the press service of the Eastern Military District for the Pacific Fleet reported.

The exercises involved electronic warfare and air defense units, which were tasked with “countering quadcopters and other unmanned aircraft of a mock enemy.”

“The military personnel worked out an algorithm of actions to suppress attempts to fly by “enemy” UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles – ”b”) to the closed territory of military units and military camps,” the message says. It is clarified that the exercises were carried out “in accordance with the plan for ensuring the security and defense of military installations of the fleet.”

Last year, the crews of the frigate “Marshal Shaposhnikov” and the corvette “Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov” held joint training to repel the approach of a mock enemy UAV to the main base of the Pacific Fleet – Vladivostok. It was then reported that the drones were intercepted by specialists from the radio-technical combat unit of the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov and conditionally destroyed by the artillery crew of the corvette Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov. During a special military operation, UAV raids were exposed objects of the Black Sea Fleet.
