Exercises of the Pacific Fleet began in the waters of the Sea of Japan and the Sea of Okhotsk. They involve more than 60 warships and support vessels, about 35 naval aviation aircraft, coastal troops and more than 11,000 military personnel.
The video of the beginning of the exercises of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was published in Telegram. One of the ships bears the letter Z, which is used by Russian troops during the military operation in Ukraine.

During the exercises, the military will search for submarines of a mock enemy, perform combat training exercises, work out the organization of air defense of ship detachments and issues of organizing logistics at sea.
In April was fired Commander of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral Sergei Avakyants. His place received Commander of the Baltic Fleet, Admiral Vladimir Liina.
