The head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, said that the official results of the presidential election will be summed up at a meeting on Thursday, March 21. She added that the turnout was a record in the entire history of presidential campaigns in Russia.
“Precinct election commissions across the country have almost completed their work. 99.74% of the protocols have already been entered into the state automated system “Elections”, so we can rightfully sum up the results of the presidential elections in the Russian Federation,” Ella Pamfilova said at a briefing at the Central Election Commission (quote from TASS).
The head of the Central Election Commission also reported that almost 10 million people were able to vote at polling stations according to their location, and not according to their registration.
