Office of ruling Justice and Development Party shelled in Istanbul
One of the offices of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party came under fire in Istanbul. The incident was reported by the provincial governor’s office.
Two intruders in the Bahcelievler district drove past the party building and fired several shots into the air. On the top floor of the party office, according to the governor, traces of four bullets were found.
There were no casualties. The search for the shooters continues.
The party has already condemned the incident, but stressed that this will not affect the preparations for the May 14 elections.
