The number of victims of the shelling of the Belgorod region increased to six

Shrapnel wounds as a result of Ukrainian shelling of the village of Urazovo, Belgorod region, received six people, one man is in critical condition, the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov said in his Telegram channel.

Earlier August 26 Gladkov informed about the shelling of the village of Urazovo, Valuysky urban district, with cluster munitions. Then it was known about four injured civilians, now their number has increased to six.

“One victim is in an extremely serious condition – the man has shrapnel wounds to the lumbar region, internal organs are damaged. Doctors of the Valuysky Central District Hospital are now operating on him, ”- wrote governor.

According to him, as a result of the attack, a shrapnel wound to the right eye was received by a woman, she was transferred to a hospital in Belgorod in a state of moderate severity. The remaining four victims did not require hospitalization, Gladkov said. Shelling damaged 16 households, four of them destroyed the supporting structures.

In addition, according to the authorities, windows were broken in two enterprises and the roof was damaged, damage was recorded in one social facility and one sports facility. As a result of the shelling, four cars were damaged and a power line was broken, the report said.

The Belgorod region and other border regions of Russia are subjected to regular shelling from Ukraine. At present, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist danger operates in the region indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the average level of response has been set in the region.
