More than nine thousand people and 75 pieces of equipment and weapons will take part in the Parade on Red Square in Moscow on Victory Day, May 9, 2024. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced this on Wednesday, March 20.
In addition to ground equipment, aviation from the Aerospace Forces will participate in the event.
The foot column will include regiments, battalions, companies by types and branches of troops, crews of special operation participants, students of Suvorov, Nakhimov, cadet and music schools, Youth Army members, women military personnel, Cossacks and a combined military orchestra.
Victory parades, Shoigu noted, will be held in 28 cities of the country. In total, more than 50 thousand people and about a thousand weapons and military equipment will take part in them.
Let us remind you that in 2024, Russia and the CIS countries will celebrate the 79th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
