On October 25, Fico again became Prime Minister of Slovakia. Fico promised to stop military aid to Ukraine, he also criticized sanctions against Russia and threatened to veto Kyiv’s invitation to NATO.
After the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, Slovakia began to provide military assistance to Ukraine. In 2022, the country sent weapons worth 168 million euros there. In March, the President of Slovakia announced weakening support for Kyiv within the country.
