The Netherlands will allocate 102 million euros to help Ukraine

As part of the third aid package to Ukraine, the Netherlands will allocate 102 million euros in 2023, should from a message on the government website.
60 million euros are intended to support Dutch companies that want to “contribute” to the reconstruction of Ukraine. In particular, the funds will be used to insure export loans and transactions within the country. 30 million euros are planned to be spent on the purchase of gas and the supply of spare parts for the electrical network before the winter period. 12 million euros will be provided by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which will help Ukraine carry out reforms.
In July, the Dutch government announced that as part of the second package, 118 million euros would be allocated to support Ukraine. The money was intended to repair infrastructure, as well as to help eliminate the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric station.
In October, Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren at the Warsaw Security Forum statedthat European countries are facing problems in the defense industry. According to her, states cannot increase production due to arms supplies to Ukraine. Despite her statement, the minister called on European states to continue to provide military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In her opinion, the Ukrainian conflict poses a “general security threat.”
In August, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky after a meeting with Prime Minister Mark Rutte reportedthat Ukraine and the Netherlands have agreed to supply Kyiv with F-16 fighter jets, which was previously approved by the US authorities.
