The volume of funds of the National Welfare Fund (NWF) as of December 1 amounted to 13.43 trillion rubles. (equivalent to $151 billion 129.1 million) and corresponds to 9% of the GDP forecast for this year, reported press service Ministry of Finance. The volume of the National Welfare Fund as of November 1 amounted to 13.54 trillion rubles. Over the month, the volume of funds in the fund decreased by 108 billion rubles.
The press release states that the volume of the fund’s liquid assets (funds in bank accounts with the Bank of Russia) amounted to the equivalent of 6.75 trillion rubles, or $75,902.3 million (4.5% of GDP). The structure of the fund includes €3.27 billion, 279.8 billion Chinese yuan, 508.3 tons of gold and 1.19 billion rubles.
As the Ministry of Finance reported, in November 2023, the federal budget was replenished by placing the fund’s funds on deposits with VEB.RF (395.8 million rubles) and in bonds of LLC NLK-Finance (234.1 million rubles).
