The Muftiate of Crimea announced the capture of a mosque on the peninsula by “Islamic sectarians”

Supporters of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Ukraine (DUMU) seized a mosque in Evpatoria and did not return it, despite the court decision, informed RIA Novosti, Deputy Head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea (DUMK) Ayder Ismailov. According to him, the department is controlled by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and financed by Kyiv.

The administration of Muslims operating on the peninsula is headed by Habashite Ahmed Tamim, Ismailov said. According to the agency, earlier, to control the Crimean Tatar community, Kyiv created a network of agents from the “Islamic sectarians” – Habashites, and Tamim “played an important role” in it.

“Their (DUMU – ed.) schismatic activities did not stop even in the Russian Crimea after 2014: we know that they still continue their activities here, they changed their name, called themselves the Central Spiritual Administration, the Tauride Muftiate,” Ismailov said.

He also claims that the SMMU sectarians still receive funding from the territory of Ukraine and “carry out subversive activities”, and the SMMU is supported by businessmen who worked in Crimea during the Ukrainian government.

In October, the FSB of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol delayed citizen of Ukraine on suspicion of financing the illegal armed group (IAF) “Islamic battalion” Crimea “, which is directly involved in countering the Russian military on the territory of Ukraine.

The battalion consists of Crimean Tatars who left the peninsula. In the summer of 2014, Mustafa Dzhemilev, who for more than 20 years headed the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars (recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia), announced the creation of the Crimean Tatar battalion “Krym”.
