The Ministry of Transport of Russia intends to implement by the end of September a program to allocate funds from the National Welfare Fund (NWF) to airlines for the purchase of foreign aircraft. About it informed Deputy Minister Igor Chalik.

At the same time, he confirmed that, apart from Aeroflot, other airlines have not yet received funds.
Previously, that Russian airlines may not have time to buy aircraft from foreign leasing due to the fact that the Ministry of Transport did not determine 300 billion rubles. concessional financing from the NWF, Kommersant reported.
According to the newspaper, at least five airlines from Russia have already received approvals for insurance settlements with Western aircraft owners. According to a source close to the Ministry of Transport, the terms of the deals have been agreed or are close to being agreed in Aeroflot, S7, Rusline, Ural Airlines, and iFly. It is specified that we are talking about 80-90 aircraft, including 47 of Aeroflot.
