The Ministry of Trade of Kazakhstan has denied the ban on the export of goods to Russia

Kazakhstan has not established any bans on the export of goods to Russia due to anti-Russian sanctions, should from a message from the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic.

Thus, the ministry responded to media reports that, with reference to Vice Minister of Trade Kairat Torebaev wrote, that Kazakhstan has limited 106 types of goods intended for military purposes due to sanctions. The information about this is incorrect, the ministry added.

“The regulation of trade relations between Kazakhstan and Russia occurs in full accordance with the provisions of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. No bans on the export of any goods to the Russian Federation were established in connection with anti-Russian sanctions,” the statement says.

“Dual-use” goods fall under export control, the ministry explained, for the export, import and transit of which a license is required. Export control of this category of goods has been carried out for more than 20 years and falls under national competence, the Kazakh ministry emphasized.
